The aim of this service is to provide one-to-one support for children and young people who may be facing difficulties, by providing them with a mentor.

The aim of mentoring is to generate a more positive outlook on life both personally and educationally with the well- being of individuals forming the focus of our work.

What we do

As a Community Interest Company we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of the children, young people and adults we support. All of our mentors are Protective Behaviours Practitioners providing small group and or one to one support for as long as needed. Our service is initially for a period of six weeks, unless it is identified that further support is needed.

Our service can be delivered at a place that feels safe for the group and or individual either our Safe space here at Steeple House , a public space or educational setting.

First session - Introductions

A Protective Behaviours Mentor would have been matched based on the needs or interests of our group or individual. This session is an introduction to each other and an outline of what might be covered during your time together.

Weeks 2 – 5

Using the time with your mentor to talk with someone about anything even if it is awful or small and learning how the strategies of Protective Behaviours can support someone to keep themselves feeling safe.

Reflect and Review

On the sixth session, both parties shall reflect on what has been covered and review where to go next. The Protective Behaviours Mentor will guide individuals as to whether they can continue with our service or support the individual to access further support if needed.

This price is based on an individual for the duration of six weeks.
