What we do

 

We create a balance between theory, practical, and creative tasks with plenty of movement breaks. We encourage young people to find their strengths and skills via a range of small group and one to one support,  creating a more positive attitude towards learning.

We believe we all have the right to feel safe all the time. This is our core value. Here at COV, we will support and accommodate each day at a time. Providing young people with a range of theoretical, creative and practical activities supporting their personal development, health and wellbeing.

Together, we explore the following:

Understand positive risk taking

– Know the reasons for feeling confident/non-confident

– Effective participation in social situations

– Ways to manage stress

– Link decision making with associated emotions & feelings

– How to set goals and targets and increase confidence

– How to set goals for own development

– How communication skills can contribute to improving confidence

– Identifying, foster an understanding and practice of regulation

What have we done

Flourish has supported young people with meaningful positive change regarding their social and emotional wellbeing, confidence and self esteem.

Our learners have increased their engagement with education, progressing onto other vocational programmes as well as increasing their school time tables. 

Our average attendance is 95%
